Heather Shotton
Dr. Heather Shotton is a transformative leader in higher education, serving as Vice President of Diversity Affairs at Fort Lewis College. She has directed the institution’s Reconciliation Process, addressing its history as a Native American boarding school and fostering healing and systemic change. Heather’s mentorship goes beyond FLC students and staff, she is a national mentor to professionals in higher education, particularly women of color, empowering them to pursue leadership roles and advocate for equity.

Elizabeth Howe
Elizabeth Howe is a transformative leader whose work spans professional excellence, community service, and advocacy for diversity and inclusion. As Vice President of Business Services at LPEA, she has implemented impactful initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and organizational growth. Her volunteer efforts with the Boys & Girls Club, Fort Lewis College, and the Economic Development Alliance reflect her dedication to youth empowerment, education, and economic development in La Plata County.

Angela Fountain
Angela Fountain has been working in the La Plata County 4-H program for 15 years. Through this program she constantly empowers girls and young women by fostering leadership skills, boosting confidence, promoting civic engagement, encouraging STEM participation, developing life skills like problem-solving and communication, and providing a supportive community network, all while contributing to their overall well-being and sense of accomplishment. Angela is confident, capable and always willing and ready to step in where she is needed; and displays outstanding judgement, excitement, courage and the ability to stay energetic, positive, and friendly with anyone she encounters.

Join us for a wonderful evening at Public House 701, lending a hand to normally self-sufficient women in a time of need. Since 2002 the Womenade Program has helped over 650 individuals and given out over $300,000 in grants!
