Having worn many hats through the years Lissa is currently the Gallery Director at The Diane West Gallery. Having grown up in Indiana and Texas she has traveled and lived in many places in the US. In Indianapolis Lissa attended Indiana University studying Art History and spending summers working at the Indianapolis Zoo in African and Australian plains where her love and support of animals was born. Since then she has volunteered for no kill shelters, as an animal foster and advocated for animal rights. While in Chicago Lissa worked for the Jean Albano Gallery for emerging and established artists alike to exhibit unique, cutting edge and creative contemporary art . Moving onto Bozeman, Montana Lissa continued combining her love of animals and the arts working on a Dude Ranch giving guided horseback rides up in the mountains of Big Sky and working for Montana Trails Western Art Gallery. Lissa’s curiosity for experience and change led her to Portland, Oregon and the fashion/avant garde art scene. Lissa was the Marketing Director for The Mark Woolley Gallery until taking on her most challenging position as stay at home mom. During that time she started a small business called Frock Kandi. She developed and designed unique hand luggage. Traveling through Asia learning the textile and manufacturing business. Continuing to grow her small business Lissa and her family moved to Dallas, Texas where she took a position as head fashion buyer and general manager for a high end boutique where she also sold her Frock Kandi Hand Luggage. She held this position for 8 years traveling on business trips to meet with manufacturers and wholesalers, participating in trade shows in the US and abroad. Networking, negotiating and relationship-building. When not working Lissa enjoys spending time with family, friends and exploring the beautiful surroundings and outdoor activities the area has to offer.
