Women's Resource Center

Josie is a long time Colorado resident with 21 years in the Durango community. Durango has held her interest through support of a tight knit community and extended family members who live in and around the Durango area. Josie is a Durango High School graduate and Fort Lewis College alumnus. She enjoys creative projects and was a proud member of the National Arts Honor Society during her high school years. Josie completed her schooling with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in Psychology. She is currently working at Alpine Bank as Operations Officer for the Durango and Three Springs locations. Her career at Alpine Bank has been an incredible place to grow and learn valued life lessons and financial literacy. The most rewarding piece in being an employee of Alpine Bank is the people – both the community members that lean on Alpine for their banking needs, as well as the team she has been blessed with coaching, laughing with, and calling her friends. Exploring the community through events around town, workout classes, herbal making classes, and volunteering have become a core part of who Josie is as a person. In her free time, Josie spends time creating new herbal remedies and healing foods with her partner, Hugo Garduno, spending time with beloved friends and family and watching desert sunrises. Josie is a new board member for Women’s Resource Center. She looks forward to supporting WRC and the Durango community.
