Ashley moved to Durango in 2016 from Denton, Texas with her husband John to pursue a change in lifestyle. Born in Singapore, she grew up in Cape Town, South Africa and spent her teenage years and young adult life in Sydney, Australia before moving to the United Kingdom in 1993.

With degrees in business and marketing, Ashley has extensive international organizational experience and an accomplished track record of startups, business development, operations and executive management. In 2004 Ashley was one of the youngest executives to participate in an initial public offering and listing of a medical device company on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Playing an active role in the community, Ashley completed a two-year term on the Board of Directors for the Durango Area Association of Realtors. In addition to this role, she was part of several marketing and fundraising committees and in 2021was awarded the Coldwell Banker Distinctive Angel Award for her community efforts.

Ashley joined the board of the Women’s Resource Center in July 2018 and is currently President. She believes it is important to become involved in the local Durango area and actively give back to our community. She takes great pleasure in meeting like-minded women and working with organizations that make a difference in helping others in times of need. Ashley seeks to advocate for women and assist them through difficult and challenging life experiences in order to make a more positive impact on their future.

When not serving in the community Ashley enjoys spending time with friends, being creative, traveling and soaking up all that the Southwest has to offer with her husband and their dog, Cassidy.
