Provides resources and support to women in La Plata County dealing with domestic violence.  They offer a 24-hour crisis hotline, support groups, counseling, legal assistance, Latina outreach, and community education.

Southwest Safehouse
Hotline: (970) 259-5443
Provides emergency and long-term shelter for women and children who are escaping domestic violence situations.

Sexual Assault Services Organization

Hotline [24 hour]: (970) 247-5400
Provides services for La Plata, Archuleta and Montezuma counties, including a 24-hour hotline available for both survivors and friends and family with questions or concerns. Also provides ongoing counseling support and therapy groups.  Spanish speaking advocates available.
