WRC Move with Purpose Weekly Training Runs
Every Thursday, through October 11, 12:00 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. in the Albertson’s parking lot
Attention Walkers, Runners, and Mountain Bikers! WRC’s Move with Purpose fundraiser is underway! You can help us reach our goal for this year’s number of participants by committing to run, walk or bike during the first annual Tour of Durango on October 11-12. To join team WRC please call 247-1242. To prepare for the event, WRC has partnered with DMT and has started a walk/run group that will meet in the Albertsons parking lot at noon every Thursday. The group will start at approximately 12:10 and walk/run down the river trail and be back by 12:50. To get started, participants will need to sign a release and join DMT. Women's Reading Circle
Wednesday July 9, 5:30 p.m., at the Rochester Hotel, 726 E. 2nd Ave.
The Women's Reading Circle will discuss "The Book Thief" by Marcus Zusak. The Reading Circle meets monthly and the format is 10-15 minutes of socializing followed by a facilitated book discussion. Participants of the Reading Circle receive discounts on the group's book selections at Maria's Bookshop in Durango. There is no fee to join the Women's Reading Circle! View all books for 2008.

Pro Se Divorce Seminars
Monday, July 14, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at 1474 Main Ave., Ste. 200
If you are filing for your own divorce and need assistance filling out the papers, come to a free, Pro Se Divorce Seminar cosponsored by WRC, Colorado Legal Services, the Southwest Colorado Bar Association, and Southwest Colorado Volunteer Legal Aid. Divorce paper packets are available for $10 at WRC. Pro Se Seminars are held monthly in Durango. For information, call 247-0266.

Habitat for Humanity of La Plata County Women Build Day
Saturday, July 18, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Fox Farm Circle in Bayfield. (call 382-2215 for directions)
WRC supports Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build project to complete two duplexes. Join other women for a day of hard work for a good cause! Please remember work gloves, hand tools (if you have them), a hat and sunscreen. Lunch will be provided. To sign up call 382-1255.

WRC Writer's Group
Wednesday, July 30, 6:30-8:00 p.m., at the Durango Coffee Company, 730 Main Ave.
WRC's second writing group, "The Wild Women Writing," meets on the last Wednesday of each month, and is open to both published and unpublished writers who are interested in fiction, nonfiction, journaling, screenwriting, poetry or another format. The Writer's Group offers a safe environment to share ideas, create and read original compositions, and receive kind, constructive feedback. There is no fee to join the WRC Writer's Group!
