WRC is assisting people via email and over the phone!
Women’s Resource Center has steadfastly served clients, via email and over the phone, in an attempt to do our part in limiting the spread of COVID-19.
In order to protect our clients, staff and volunteers, we will only allow staff and volunteers in the office. To accommodate for special circumstances, we might allow individuals to come into the office if they can produce the following:
- Valid picture ID
- Completed COVID-19 vaccination card
We will still be able to help everyone over the phone and online.
Call us at 970-247-1242 or email us at programs@WRCdurango.org.
PLEASE NOTE: The majority of our volunteers are in the high-risk health category, so we are respecting their needs and protecting them the best we can. The pandemic allowed us the opportunity to cultivate our creativity and innovation. We have been able to adjust our procedures and offer all of our programs and services over the phone and online for over a year now. If a client needs documents, we’ve passed them through the door with both the client and staff wearing masks. If they don’t have a phone or internet, we have a lower-risk staff member meet them outside, with both parties wearing masks. If a client doesn’t have a mask, we offer one for the outside visit free of charge. Therefore, we are able to provide the same programs and services to people who are not vaccinated, that we provide for those who are vaccinated. Although allowing clients into the office again is in no way necessary or required, we’ve decided to conduct a soft opening, where those who are vaccinated may come in. We have faithfully served the community with unwavering dedication throughout the pandemic, and we are determined to continue to do the same now and in the future. Please give us a call or send us an email, so we can help you in any way we can!
