The homemade ice cream from the award winning “Peaches ‘n’ Cream Dream team was a huge hit on a hot day.

The annual Men Who Grill fundraiser to benefit WRC, held in downtown Durango on Saturday, June 7, 2008, was a HUGE success with more than 500 attendees and nineteen grill teams — the most this event has seen yet! The teams went all out this featuring grilled fruit, lamb burgers, and even home made ice cream. Local blues band The Kirk James Blues Band entertained the crowd with blues that put everyone into the BBQ spirit! Zuberfizz once again donated their refreshing old-fashioned soda and there was ice cold bottled water, compliments of Natures Oasis. All the grill teams put on a great show to win awards in a variety of categories (see below). Men Who Grill raised more than $12,000 for WRC programs and services. WRC thanks all who helped make this event a phenomenal success!
