WomenFest 2004: A Celebration of All Things Feminine

On November 6, WomenFest 2004 brought together more than 150 women to celebrate "Body and Soul" through workshops, networking and dancing. The all-day event included more than 20 workshops and a tradeshow of more than 20 women-centered businesses. More than 100 participants were new to WomenFest and about two-thirds of attendees were non-members, making the event a great way for WRC to reach out to more women.

Julie Bresciani, PhD, gave the keynote address on the re-emergence of the divine feminine.

Participants came from throughout La Plata County, and from as far away as Leavenworth, KS. Many thanks to our sponsors: BP America, Vectra Bank, KSUT, 99.7 The Point, Maria's Bookshop, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, and the Sexual Assault Services Organization.

Special thanks go to Sabrina Wise, a young artist with WRC's GOAL arts program who drew the illustration for the conference.
